Monday 20th

Hurricane Kimchi Caberet

Our good buddies over at The Studio are planning a busy Chuseok. They've got a series of fun events including karaoke nights, open-mic comedy and more.

Of all the things they have planned, the one we're most excited about is their cabaret show with local drag legend Hurricane Kimchi.

There'll be live music and more from HK and a special guest. The show got enough interest that they decided to add an extra date. Reservation is required, and there's no telling how long tickets will be available, so book soon.

Shoegaze/Dream-pop DJ night

Our very favourite place in the world, Pet Sounds, isn't just hosting our launch night this week. They have a series of cool music nights that take place between now and Thursday.

One of the highlights of which is their Chuseok closing party - a tribute to all things shoegaze.

DJ High will be playing a mix of music from the likes of MBV, Low, Cocteau Twins and M83.

Thursday 23rd

CHS live

And rounding up our week of events is a live show by one of the most incredible bands working on the current Korean scene.

CHS are, in many ways, Korea's answer to Khruangbin; a luxurious and eccentric blend of psychedelia and funk.

Next week they'll be playing a live show at Nodeul Live House in Yongsan-gu. It promises to be a fantastic show but with a tiny caveat - tickets are ₩77,000. We think it will be worth it, though.
